Sooner or later, people will stop trying.  They’ll realize that they probably didn’t mean as much to you as you did to them.  Because you pushed them away even when they tried to break the barrier you’ve erected around yourself. 

They can’t keep trying forever.  At some point, they’re going to get tired and move on.  You can’t blame them for leaving. You can only blame yourself.   

And then you’ll really be alone.
